Descendants of Henry Boehmer

Generation No. 1

1.  HENRY¹ BOEHMER was born 1835 in Prussia and died November 5, 1904 in Covington, KY.  He married MARY Ovelgoenne.  She was born 1834 in Oldenburg, Germany and died after 1900.

Children of HENRY BOEHMER and MARY Ovelgoenne are:

                   i.       MINNIE² BOEHMER, b. 1863.

2.               ii.       ANNA M. BOEHMER, b. November 16, 1864, Covington, Kentucky; d. January 23, 1947, Little Sisters of the Poor, Cincinnati, OH.

                 iii.       THERESA BOEHMER, b. 1866; d. December 23, 1901; m. JOSEPH KAMPSEN, 1888; d. 1946.

                 iv.       FRANCES BOEHMER, b. 1871; d. April 4, 1951; m. WILLIAM M. SPRECKLEMEIER; b. 1870; d. October 12, 1940.

                  v.       MARY BOEHMER, b. 1873; d. March 20, 1954; m. FRANK J. M. BROCKMEIER, Kenton County, KY; b. 1866; d. December 1, 1929, Kenton Co., KY.

Note:  Records at Middendorf Funeral Home in Covington, KY list August Boehmer as the father of Anna M. Boehmer (my second great grandmother), with surviving sisters Frances and Mary. However, there were no daughters listed in the 1880 census for August Boehmer, but there were for Henry Boehmer...Minnie, Theresa, Frances and Mary. In addition, the Covington City Directory shows a furniture store, owned by Henry Bohmer, on 1133 Scott Street. John H. Rabe was a sales representative at the same location.  I believe August Boehmer was a brother to Henry.

2.  ANNA M.² BOEHMER (HENRY¹) was born November 16, 1864 in Covington, Kentucky, and died January 23, 1947 in Little Sisters of the Poor, Cincinnati, OH.  She married JOHN HENRY RABE April 22, 1885 in St. Joseph's Church, Covington, KY, son of HEINRICH RABE and MARIA VAHRENHORST.  He was born February 16, 1862 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and died February 8, 1929 in Covington, KY.
